Among the abundance of contributed modules for Drupal, there are a few gems that are worth some extra praise. One of these is the plugin manager module. It makes it really easy to navigate among the contributed modules and themes available online, as well as downloading and installing them in your local Drupal system.

It happens to me all the time, and I'm sure the same thing is happening to you. You need some specific functionality for your Drupal site and the developer instict kicks in. That is, the unavoidable thought "I'm sure there aren't any module available that does this - I'll develop my own custom module!". Have you experience this too?
How to spot a Drupal site
There is a growing number of Drupal-based websites out there. The latest and greatest I came across is www.whitehouse.gov, nothing less than the official website for the President of the United States of America.
